Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage export shipment files
- Facilitate export clearance processes
- Oversee and track all air and ocean export shipments until delivery
- Keep clients informed about the status of their shipments
- Coordinate with carriers and relevant parties regarding shipment details and delivery
- Ensure accurate billing for customers
- Resolve daily operational issues with international partners and service providers
- Verify and maintain the accuracy of export documentation
- Collect any missing documentation from clients as necessary
- Assist in ensuring timely completion of payable and receivable documents
- Monitor shipments through transit points and provide updates to clients
- Review operational procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
- Maintain high standards of data quality and accuracy in shipment processing
- Report operational anomalies and new client requirements to management
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Experience in ocean export operations is essential
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CargoWise software is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Certification in IATA DG and IMDG regulations is a plus
