Job Description

Canonical is seeking a highly skilled Development Lifecycle Engineer to lead our efforts in creating a robust and reliable development process for our open-source projects. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our development lifecycle, ensuring that our software meets the highest standards of quality, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive development lifecycle process that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure that our software development processes are efficient, effective, and scalable.
  • Collaborate with engineering stakeholders to identify and prioritize process improvements and implement changes that drive business value.
  • Develop and maintain metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of our development lifecycle process.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members on development lifecycle processes and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that our development lifecycle process remains relevant and effective.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in software development and process management in an agile environment.
  • Proven track record of leading successful compliance and certification efforts.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO IEC 9001, 25010, and 15504/SPICE.
  • Experience working on successful open-source projects known for their demonstrated engineering processes.
