Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Austin, Texas. As a CVICU RN, you will provide specialized care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced nursing care for critically ill cardiovascular patients, including those recovering from cardiac surgery, heart failure, and other cardiac conditions.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and assist with life-saving interventions as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Utilize advanced technology and equipment to monitor patients' heart function and manage complex cardiovascular devices, such as ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and ECMO.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Advanced degree (MSN) preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU or ICU experience in an acute care setting.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are required.
  • Strong clinical skills in managing critical care patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
