We are currently seeking a Loan Opener to become a vital part of our dynamic team.
The Loan Opener plays a crucial role in kickstarting the mortgage loan origination process. In this position, you will be responsible for verifying information, ensuring that automated checks and compliance evaluations are conducted for each application, and updating files as necessary to maintain compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all new loan setups within 24 hours of receiving the finalized application.
- Prepare the initial disclosure package for the applicant, utilizing either electronic or paper formats.
- Verify that all necessary information and documents are included in the loan file, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies.
- Deliver a complete and compliant loan file to processing, enabling timely requests and receipt of loan approval conditions.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Prior experience in the mortgage sector is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Encompass and compliance knowledge related to disclosures is a plus.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Knowledge of state-specific requirements is beneficial.
