Flushing Hospital Seeks Experienced Surgical Pathologist

The Department of Pathology at Flushing Hospital Medical Center is looking for a skilled AP/CP or AP only Board certified MD, MD/PhD, or DO Physician to join our team as a full-time surgical pathologist.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary medical staff, you will possess strong diagnostic skills in general surgical pathology and cytopathology, with expertise in Breast pathology and/or Breast fellowship training being highly preferred.

We are a progressive practice that desires candidates who are eager to function as exemplary physicians, taking frozen section calls and providing intraoperative consultations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Surgical pathology and cytology Non-GYN and PAP smears diagnostic sign-out
  • FNA adequacy
  • Intraoperative consultations with frozen sections
  • Taking frozen section calls

Requirements

  • M.D/DO degree
  • Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology or AP only with subspecialty breast fellowship training highly preferred
  • New York medical license required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Estimated Salary: $240,000 per year
