Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at NFI. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of freight and merchandise within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
  • Move Product to Storage: Use proper equipment to move product to storage areas and efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate areas.
  • Pick Orders for Shipment: Select and gather merchandise for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assemble Shipments: Assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped, using proper equipment and techniques.
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Previous Warehouse Experience: Preferred.
  • Ability to Lift and Move Heavy Objects: Must be able to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Attention to Detail: Must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
