About the Job

The Dialysis Technician position at Houston Methodist is responsible for providing technical support to the nursing staff by performing hemodialysis machine set-up, tear down, and safety checks. This role monitors the water system and maintains inventory of supplies to ensure a safe and efficient dialysis process for end-stage renal disease patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hemodialysis machine set-up, tear down, and safety checks
  • Monitor water system and maintain inventory of supplies
  • Assist in delivering a safe and efficient dialysis process for end-stage renal disease patients
  • Communicate effectively with the interprofessional healthcare team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Six months healthcare experience
  • One year dialysis experience preferred
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification
