Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Synthomer. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient production of high-quality products, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to production personnel, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and procedures to meet customer demands and achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor and control production costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that any variances are promptly addressed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and that our business objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure that all production activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or incidents, taking prompt action to mitigate any risks and ensure that our workplace remains safe and healthy.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and control, as well as quality control and assurance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, using data-driven insights to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to resolve complex problems.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and overtime, as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a unionized environment, with knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and labor laws.
  • Knowledge of SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems.
