Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Seasonal Animal Care Specialist to join our team at the Cincinnati Zoo. As a key member of our Primate Department, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of our animal collection, including primates, prosimians, monkeys, and apes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain animal enclosures, displays, and public areas
  • Conduct daily inspections to ensure animal health and safety
  • Identify and report maintenance issues and potential safety hazards
  • Prepare and follow prescribed diets and feeding procedures
  • Develop and implement enrichment programs to promote animal well-being
  • Provide excellent guest experiences and interact with visitors in a professional and courteous manner


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an animal-related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven knowledge and experience in animal husbandry, particularly with primates
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and establish positive relationships with colleagues and guests

Working Conditions:
