Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of our property operations team at Lynd Management Group, LLC. This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our properties, ensuring that all facilities and apartment units are well-maintained and meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Assist in preparing market-ready apartments, including painting, carpeting, flooring, general repairs, and housekeeping.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Efficiently schedule subordinates to complete work orders and make-ready units in a timely manner.
  • Vendor Management: Work with vendors and contractors to ensure assigned work is completed accordingly.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the property's preventative maintenance schedule and upkeep of all mechanical equipment.
  • Inspections and Quality Control: Perform regular move-in unit inspections, check all appliances, and ensure that all maintenance work meets our quality standards.
  • Service Request Management: Respond to resident service requests, prioritize, and assign to designated maintenance staff.
  • Work Order Management: Ensure that all maintenance work order paperwork is completed, and communicate with the Leasing Office staff on work order status and completion.
  • Emergency Response: Perform on-call emergency work order service requests and communicate with the Property Manager on hours worked.
  • Team Management: Supervise and delegate tasks to the maintenance team, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and reorder as needed.
  • Safety and Compliance: Possess knowledge of OSHA and safety rules and regulations, and ensure that all maintenance staff follows safe work practices.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED and three to five years of experience in facility maintenance and mechanical repair, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Licenses and Certifications: EPA Type II or Universal license and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) is required.
  • Trade Skills: Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, cabinetry, carpeting, pools, and appliance repair.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and maintain confidentiality and discretion.
