Senior Environmental Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Scientist to join our team at Remington & Vernick Engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and remediation, with a focus on site remediation and due diligence projects in New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site remedial investigations and oversee remedial actions in accordance with New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) rules and guidelines.
- Perform preliminary assessments for various project types, ensuring compliance with the Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA).
- Prepare remedial documents, including site investigation and remedial investigation reports, in compliance with NJDEP regulations.
- Develop remedial cost estimates to be incorporated into overall project plans.
- Routine field work, including oversight of drilling and soil excavations, groundwater, soil, and/or vapor sampling.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Geologic Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Up to five years of progressive and relevant experience working on site remediation and due diligence projects in New Jersey.
- Engineering-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Landfill design and/or closure experience is a plus.
