The Yard Operations Specialist is tasked with the secure handling of commercial vehicles, ensuring the effective management of trailers within the yard, unloading tasks, and conducting yard inspections. This role primarily takes place outdoors, requiring adaptability to various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tractor-trailers and/or straight trucks.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks when connecting to trailers.
  • Report tire issues before drivers embark on their routes.
  • Engage with local vendors for trailer refrigeration concerns.
  • Occasionally make local deliveries as needed.
  • Efficiently operate yard trucks.
  • Assist with additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
  • Uphold safety practices at all times.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of driving experience is required.
  • Possession of a valid CDL Class A license is essential.
