We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our banquet team as a Banquet Set Up Person at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Binghamton. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth setup and breakdown of all banquet functions and meeting rooms.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Review and understand banquet layouts and reading plans to ensure accurate setup.
- Move heavy equipment and furniture as needed to set up function rooms.
- Verify all required items are provided according to instructions and ensure timely delivery.
- Sign out necessary keys from the key lock box at the beginning of shift and return keys at the end of shift.
- Maintain cleanliness of banquet function spaces and ensure a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with guest contact persons to ensure all necessary items are provided, including but not limited to extra chairs, tables, etc.
- Inform supervisors of guest complaints or compliments to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Break down all equipment at the end of the function and return it to the necessary storage location.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including uniform and grooming standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the success of our events team.
