Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the Neurointerventional Radiology department at UVA Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the direction of a physician, including angiography, vertebroplasty, and other spinal injections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures under the direction of a physician.
  • Operate required imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols.
  • Ensure proper safety standards are met.
  • Provide technical support for musculoskeletal procedures, including discograms, aspirations, and therapeutic injections.
  • Assist in maintaining supply inventory.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Medical Center information systems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of coding procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiography required.
  • Associate's Degree in Radiography preferred.
  • 1 year relevant experience.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required.
  • ARRT (VI) certification preferred.
Working Conditions

The job requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive). May be exposed to fumes, cold, heat, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
