Position Overview

United Fire Equipment Company, a distinguished leader in the fire safety sector, is on the lookout for a dedicated Sales and Customer Support Specialist to enhance our team. This role serves as the primary liaison between our organization and a vast network of firefighting professionals. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the provision of firefighter uniforms to various fire departments across the region. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers at the front counter and manage walk-in inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with front counter operational procedures.
  • Support firefighters with online uniform orders and modifications, including the preparation of comprehensive sales orders and invoices.
  • Provide customers with accurate delivery estimates based on production timelines.
  • Process customer payments through various methods including cash, checks, and credit cards.
  • Promote and inform customers about the full range of products and services offered by United Fire Equipment.
  • Participate in physical inventory assessments as required by management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized showroom environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position.
  • Monday through Friday.
  • Standard hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and sit, including the ability to balance and climb a ladder up to 10 feet.
