**Job Summary:**

Sinceriseniorliving is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Professional to join our team. As a Housekeeping Professional, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our community, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Follow established cleaning schedules and instructions to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of resident rooms, offices, and public areas.
  • Sweep and vacuum all assigned areas, including hallways, stairways, and elevators.
  • Clean and polish all room furnishings, fixtures, ledges, heating/air conditioning units, and windows in resident rooms and public areas.
  • Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
  • Empty all wastebaskets and submit maintenance work orders for general maintenance concerns and/or problems.
  • Report any unsafe/hazardous conditions within the community and any needed repairs to the Maintenance Director or Administrator.
  • Clean and check model rooms, working in concert with admissions to ensure all incoming residents' rooms are cleaned and ready for move-in.
  • Clean the employee break room as needed.
  • Check and refill paper towel and soap dispensers as necessary.
  • Assist with laundry duties, including linens, towels, and resident personal laundry, following soiled and clean laundry protocol.
  • Provide inventory of chemicals, supplies, and linens as required.
  • Log water or heat temperatures as requested.
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policy.
  • Attend in-services and staff meetings as requested.
  • Keep janitor closets and housekeeping supply rooms clean and orderly.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary and appropriate by the supervisor or Administrator.

**Requirements:**

  • Must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
  • Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions and make decisions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials, State officials, and the general public.
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly and understand their needs.
  • Must be able to work full or part-time on a regular schedule and on-call as needed.
  • Must meet all state health requirements.

**Working Conditions:**

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods. The Housekeeping Professional must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
