Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ammonia Refrigeration Specialist to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our client's ammonia refrigeration system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex ammonia refrigeration systems, including valve groups, pumps, motors, fans, compressors, solenoids, electrical disconnects, fuses, auto-purges, and other equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as calibration of equipment and instrumentation, pump rebuilds, sensor calibration, and PM tasks on Frick screw compressors.
  • Conduct ammonia pump-outs in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting on Frick Microprocessor equipment.
  • Respond to and remediate releases of Anhydrous Ammonia.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities.
  • Ensure the maintenance of water quality systems on cooling towers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Provide training and guidance to other ammonia refrigeration personnel as needed.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and JLG lifts as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent AND 4-6 years of maintenance experience with 3 years of experience in Industrial Refrigeration.
  • Completion of RETA Operator 1 course.
  • Completion of RETA Operator 2 course (CIRO Certification will be accepted in lieu of Operator 2 course completion).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Manufacturing experience in a Food Manufacturing Facility is desired.
  • Experience with fire-tube boilers and industrial air compressors is desired.
