Job Title: Customer Experience Seasonal Associate

Ministry/Department: Hope's Closet Arlington

Reports to: Customer Experience Manager

Status: Non-exempt/29 hours weekly

Supervisory Role: N/A
Objective

To deliver outstanding customer service and assist in executing daily operations aimed at enhancing sales while aligning with the vision of Hope's Closet and The Church of Eleven22, which is to foster a movement for individuals to explore and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a minister of the gospel
  • Boost sales through exceptional customer service and uphold merchandising standards
  • Manage Point of Sale (POS) systems and handle monetary transactions
  • Support daily operations related to customer experience
  • Assist in store opening and closing procedures
  • Collaborate with and guide serve staff
  • Help with donation intake and inventory sorting as necessary
  • Ensure organization of inventory and supplies on the sales floor and at the cash wrap

Education and Experience
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience, including retail or warehouse experience
  • High school diploma preferred
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Assistant Manager - Customer Experience. Workdays may vary based on store needs and events. Weekend and holiday availability is essential.

Participation in significant events throughout the year is encouraged to further the mission of The Church of Eleven22 and Hope's Closet. The stores are closed during these events to allow the Hope's Closet team to engage in the spiritual formation of the church.

Our entire staff is called to action to continue being a movement for all individuals to explore and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Work Environment

This role operates in a professional retail setting, encompassing both sales floor and warehouse/stockroom environments. The position primarily involves working on the sales floor, utilizing equipment such as cash registers, store phones, hand carts, dollies, ladders, rolling carts, and racks.
Physical Demands

Must be capable of standing or walking on concrete flooring for extended periods, bending, lifting, grasping, reaching, pushing, and pulling materials, navigating uneven surfaces, ladders, and stairs, and lifting up to 40lbs.
