Accounting Coordinator Job Description

TowerPinkster, a leading architecture, engineering, and interior design firm, is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Coordinator to join our team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As an Accounting Coordinator, you will provide critical support to our Chief Financial Officer and team members, focusing on project accounting functions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable, including invoice approval, vendor check backup, and A/P reports.
  • Manage credit card coding and reconciliation.
  • Handle accounts receivable, including preparing client invoices, depositing client receipts, and data entry.
  • Perform data entry tasks, including journal entries, timecards, and general ledger entries.
  • Maintain a filing system for invoices, purchase orders, paid checks, and month-end reports.
  • Update and maintain project accounting fees and project documentation.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • An associate degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
