The University of Findlay College of Pharmacy is seeking a qualified candidate for a 12-month, non-tenure track faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
Responsibilities- Teach in the Doctor of Pharmacy program in both on-campus and distance pathways.
- Instructional topics may include gastrointestinal, endocrine, immunologic diseases, neurologic, psychiatric, and hematology/oncology pharmacotherapy, and various topics within pharmacy practice skills labs and introductory pharmacy practice courses.
- Course coordination for team-taught courses may be assigned based on departmental needs and instructor interest or expertise.
- Scholarly activity and service to the College and University consistent with a teaching-focused institution are also expected.
- A doctorate degree and completion of a PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency (or equivalent experience) are required.
- Eligibility for pharmacy licensure in the state of Ohio is required and licensure is expected within the first six months of employment.
- Continued practice in the field of pharmacy is encouraged and expected.
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
Qualified candidates should submit a cover letter, current Resume or Curriculum Vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy, and the contact information for three professional references with their application.
