Logistics Coordinator Intern

Overview:
As a Logistics Coordinator Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the transportation department of Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the management of shipping logistics for our frozen products, ensuring smooth operations both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage inbound and outbound order setups.
2. Confirm shipping costs against invoices.
3. Organize transportation for replenishing cold storage facilities.
4. Collaborate on developing departmental metrics aligned with corporate goals.
5. Coordinate logistics for both international and domestic cold storage shipments.
6. Liaise with third-party carriers to guarantee timely delivery of cold storage products.
7. Serve as a communication bridge between sales, transportation, production, and external partners throughout the ordering and distribution process.
8. Assess inventory levels at cold storage sites to fulfill customer orders effectively.
9. Assist in generating reports from our ELD system to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
10. Uphold safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or a related business discipline at an accredited institution.

Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to operate or learn to operate electric jacks.

Certificates and Licenses:
- A valid driver's license is required.

Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
