Job Summary

The Major Account Representative is a key role within Rumpke Waste and Recycling, responsible for driving business growth and revenue expansion in assigned geographic areas. This position requires a strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights to drive sales growth.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to ensure Rumpke remains a leader in the waste management industry.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Proven sales experience in a related industry, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong industry knowledge and market insights, with the ability to stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines to meet sales targets.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the region, as required.
