Job Overview

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a highly skilled Eligibility Authorization Specialist to join our Imaging Team.

This role involves obtaining benefit verification and pre-authorization for outpatient imaging services, ensuring timely payment for services provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain benefit verification and pre-authorization for outpatient imaging services
  • Review daily worklists and schedules to ensure all necessary information is in system
  • Coordinate with external vendors to expedite obtaining eligibility, benefit, and authorizations
  • Communicate authorization results with insurance carriers, physician offices, billing offices, and patients
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 months related experience and/or training
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems
  • Athena knowledge preferred but not required
