We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Healthcare Eligibility Specialist to support nursing facility residents through the Medicaid application process.

This is a full-time position with options for 10-hour shifts (4x10) or 8-hour shifts (5x8), Monday to Friday, at our New Port Richey, FL location.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Medicaid pending applications, ensuring all documentation deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with responsible parties to gather necessary documents for Medicaid approval.
  • Coordinate effectively with nursing facilities, the Medicaid office, and other resources to support timely filing and approvals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows.
  • Maintain HIPAA privacy, security, and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care business office, or Medicaid-related field is beneficial but not required.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail is a MUST.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, email organization, and general MS Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player who can handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
