Medical Records Clerk

Are you a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills? Do you have a passion for working in a dynamic team environment? We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our team at the Health & Human Services Comm.
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records, as well as provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff. This role will involve collecting, maintaining, and making available timely, accurate, and complete healthcare information.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect, maintain, and make available timely, accurate, and complete healthcare information.
- Conduct regular quantitative analysis of paper charts and electronic health records.
- Prioritize, locate, track, and transport patient healthcare records.
- Function as a link between medical staff, Telemedicine staff, and data specialists in regards to healthcare documentation.
- File pertinent clinician documentation in paper records and ensure accurate documentation forms and patient identifiers are available.
- Maintain availability of super-bills and perform routine chart maintenance.
- Train program staff in the use of electronic health records and serve as a local expert on hybrid record documentation.
- Collaborate with Medical Records staff and program staff to provide excellent customer service to the organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Types at least 45 wpm.
- Steady work history required.
- 12 months of experience using a personal computer with various computer programs/software required.
- Ability to review work for accuracy and perform detailed work.
- Ability to handle complex tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to organize workload and communicate effectively and professionally.
- Ability to work discretely and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues.
This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Although this position is primarily based on the Wichita Falls campus, it requires up to 10% travel to the Vernon campus. Hours and campus assignment are subject to change based on business needs.
