Store Operations Clerk

As a vital member of our team, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our patrons. Your role may involve assisting customers at checkout, replenishing grocery and cooler shelves, maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, and managing waste disposal on the premises. Additionally, you will be responsible for stocking freezers, preparing ice, and ensuring the cleanliness of food preparation areas and display surfaces.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and display merchandise in an orderly fashion.
  • Label products with accurate pricing.
  • Efficiently operate the cash register.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, communicating in a friendly and professional manner at all times.
  • Adhere to attendance guidelines and comply with company policies.
  • Participate in required training sessions.
  • Support various projects as assigned.
  • Be adaptable to changes in duties and responsibilities as needed. Work hours will vary based on a 24-hour schedule.
  • Act as a role model, representing Downstream Casino Resort positively.
  • Assist with monthly inventory checks.
QUALIFICATIONS:

The following qualifications are essential for success in this role:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of retail experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to write basic correspondence and effectively communicate with the public and team members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts in a diplomatic manner.
  • Must be eligible for and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English is required.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screening.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands of this position include:
  • Mobility to navigate all areas of the casino.
  • Ability to work in environments with secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
  • Maintaining stamina and a positive attitude while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
