Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Systems Application & Technologies Inc. in the Combatant Craft Division at Naval Station Norfolk, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and effectively ensure the accomplishment of all routine corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Responsible for maintaining asset accountability, maintenance and repair tracking, up-to-date condition reporting, and operational readiness across all contract watercraft.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve maintenance and operational issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure high-quality maintenance and repair services.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports related to maintenance and operational activities.
  • Develop and implement training programs for maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 10-20 years of management experience, particularly in Operations and Maintenance, preferably in the maritime domain.
  • Prior military or DoD experience preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for managing employees.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proven record in training employees about safety and production.
  • Strong working knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Proven experience as production director.
  • Deep knowledge of production management.
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
  • Outstanding communication ability.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
  • Current Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
