About the Position
This role involves undergraduate instruction within the UEPP Department, covering areas such as urban planning/design, sustainability, studio courses, and environmental/natural resource policy. Our educational approach emphasizes engaged learning and critical perspectives, encouraging collaboration at the intersection of urban, natural, and environmental planning and policy.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution. In exceptional cases, candidates with a BA or BS and a minimum of five years of experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in community design, models, exhibitions, and service learning.
  • Proven teaching capabilities in planning and policy history, methodologies, applications, theory, and related fields.
  • Ongoing engagement with current knowledge and practices in planning and policy.
  • Active participation in related professional activities.
  • Ability to create equitable and inclusive learning environments for students from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to promoting diversity within the department.
  • Record of supporting the success of traditionally underrepresented students or professionals in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in teaching, research, and service within the planning and public policy sectors.
  • Proficiency in experiential and critical pedagogies applicable to both classroom and field settings.
  • Capability to manage field practicum logistics and collaborate with community partners.
  • Successful teaching experience utilizing online learning management systems.
Conditions of Employment
All employees must adhere to immunization policies, including proof of immunity within a specified timeframe.

Salary
Starting salary of $1,385 per credit, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
