Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform X-ray procedures according to established protocols and physician orders, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging results.
  • Position patients accurately and ensure proper alignment to obtain high-quality images, minimizing the need for retakes.
  • Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, performing routine calibrations and troubleshooting as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure to patients, self, and staff, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Review and evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring accurate documentation and filing.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients, ensuring they understand the procedure and are comfortable throughout, promoting a positive patient experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and equipment usage, supporting data-driven decision making.
  • Assist with patient preparation and provide support during and after imaging procedures, demonstrating a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and diagnostic accuracy, fostering a culture of teamwork and communication.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid certification as an X-Ray Technologist (e.g., ARRT) and state licensure as required.
  • 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist preferred, but will accept new graduates.
