Job Description

Crown Health Care Laundry Services is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our team. As a Production Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our production process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Soil Operations: Safely sort returned, soiled linen into appropriate classifications in preparation for washing, washing and preparing the carts for the Clean Production side of the plant.
  • Sort and categorize: Open customer returned soil bags, discard plastic bag, spread product out to allow for visibility on soil belt. Pre-sort classifications as required.
  • Move and transport: Move empty carts to appropriate area for cleaning and reuse.
  • Clean Operations: Learn and operate various production equipment as needed for daily assignments, including the Ironer, Folder, and Shipping Clerk positions.
  • Quality control: Adhere to quality standards in terms of quantity and quality of stacking, and make quality decisions such as identifying if there is a hole or tear in the item, whether it is stained and needs to be rewashed.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the production process.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Education or GED preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent teamwork skills, basic computer knowledge, and the willingness to learn new computer applications.
  • Physical demands: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time.
Working Conditions:

The Production Operator will work in a fast-paced production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. The incumbent will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
