This role involves delivering evidence-based intervention programs and services at a correctional facility. The primary responsibility is to conduct skills-building classes and collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate these classes effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Cognitive Based Intervention (CBI) skills-building classes at the correctional facility
- Collaborate with various parties to facilitate CBI classes effectively
- Teach Core-Adult, Career Readiness, Improving Family Relationships (IFR), Sex Offender (SOP), and Substance Use-Adult (SUA) programs
- Build Advanced Practice (AP) groups and ensure their effectiveness
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling classes, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality and fidelity
- Participate in case management and case planning activities
- Minimum Qualifications: Six months' experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities relevant to the agency's programs
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in corrections/criminal justice or social services field, or equivalent experience; one-year experience working with adult offenders; one-year experience in training/skills development, preferably in assisting or co-facilitating in the delivery of CBI programs
- Knowledge of principles of evidence-based programs and effective response to behavior
- Engaging communication style and effective co-facilitator
- Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license; must pass a criminal history records check
