We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at La Salle University. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving specialty drinks, assisting with food preparation, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a register/POS system and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Greet and assist customers, anticipating their needs and providing a positive experience.
- Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and specialty beverages according to brand standards.
- Prepare and serve food items in line with location standards.
- Count, organize, and balance cash drawers, fill out cashier slips, and make deposits.
- Adhere to Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures.
- Set up and break down coffee bars, stations, or stores, including cleaning and sanitizing.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
- Stock beverage coolers, grab-and-go items, service ware, and condiments.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a Barista preferred.
- Basic math and counting skills required.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to follow required dress code and communicate in English.
- Complete Food Handling Certification as required.
This role may require physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
