Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at MedStar Franklin Square Hospital. As an SLP, you will provide high-quality speech-language pathology services to patients in various settings.

About the Role:

  • Provide evaluation services, including review of historical information, performance of assessments, and determination of recommendations and documentation of results.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in implementing treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, patient presentation, and evolving healthcare environment.
  • Complete discharge planning and follow-up care, accurately and timely documenting and charging for patient care activities.
  • Maintain effective time management, meet productivity expectations, and manage accurate schedules.
  • Take initiative in pursuing continuing education for professional growth and competency, serving as a clinical instructor and assisting with orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Speech Language Pathology.
  • Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY).
  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
