Position Overview

AvaMed Workforce is a prominent Healthcare Staffing Agency dedicated to providing exceptional staffing solutions across various healthcare settings. We are currently seeking a qualified Rehabilitation Therapist to fulfill a Full-Time role within a correctional healthcare environment.

This position offers a supportive atmosphere where individuals are on the path to recovery from substance use disorders and managing chronic pain. There are no productivity targets or after-hours documentation requirements, allowing the Rehabilitation Therapist to operate with complete clinical and professional independence.

Position Details:

  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (includes one week of orientation)
  • Compensation: $80 per hour ($3,200 weekly)
  • Employment Status: Independent Contractor

Key Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the Institution's leadership, the Rehabilitation Therapist will be responsible for:

  1. Delivering care that aligns with the scope of licensure and adheres to institutional policies and evidence-based practices.
  2. Conducting evaluations and providing therapy services as needed, based on pre-scheduled appointments.
  3. Offering therapy services upon physician referral or direct access for patients with documented diagnoses.
  4. Performing initial assessments and developing tailored treatment plans, ensuring clear communication with patients and relevant medical staff.
  5. Completing necessary documentation and progress notes using approved forms in the patient's health record.
  6. Being available for consultation while on duty.
  7. Maintaining accurate and timely charting, with a focus on compliance to avoid potential termination due to delinquent records.
