About the Role:

Timberline Knolls is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Specialist to join our esteemed Medical Staff. As a leading program in the eating disorder arena, we pride ourselves on our comprehensive approach and effectiveness in treatment.

Practice Setting:

Our team provides therapeutic services in a variety of settings, including:

  • Therapeutic Day Treatment/School (TDT/TDS)
  • Detoxification, Residential, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical services to patients at the facility
  • Practicing within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures
  • Reviewing medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations
  • Evaluating patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders
  • Treating or directing treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications
  • Reviewing and completing medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner
  • Maintaining confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required
  • One or more years' postgraduate degree practice preferred
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate
  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working
