Job DescriptionThe Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a faculty member. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our mission by conducting research and providing clinical care to patients with cancer. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in psycho-oncology and a track record of extramural funding. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D., Psy.D., MD, or DO degree and experience working with adult or pediatric cancer patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Conduct research in psycho-oncology, focusing on aspects of clinical care
- Provide clinical psycho-oncology outpatient care with a mix of in-person and telehealth visits
- Mentor pre- and postdoctoral research fellows
- Develop and implement innovative behavioral interventions
- Ph.D., Psy.D., MD, or DO degree
- Experience working with adult or pediatric cancer patients and their families
- Strong background in psycho-oncology and research
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
