Job Title: Experienced Diesel Mechanic

J.J. Nichting Co is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance work on agricultural equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify equipment issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance work on agricultural equipment, including tractors, combines, and other heavy machinery.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest product knowledge and technical training to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Proven knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Repetitive bending and kneeling may be required.
