About the Job

Penske is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on trucks and trailers, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete maintenance tasks and repairs.
  • Use Penske's tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest vehicle maintenance techniques and technologies.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
  • Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis and troubleshooting of major components, OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and move up to 100lbs/45kg.
