Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Supervisor to join our team at Antech Diagnostics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities within the department, contributing to the development of operating policies and procedures, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of staff, assigning work, monitoring activities, and evaluating results and performance.
  • Lead work activities, planning and organizing work, providing for adequate staffing and resources, and maintaining work on schedule.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of department equipment and technical resources, coordinating with internal personnel, vendors, and others as needed.
  • Ensure that all Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards are met by staff, and perform monthly audits and documentation.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other information summarizing work activities, and assist in the development and management of financial budget requirements.
  • Provide business review information to the Transportation Manager, and consult with clients to explain or resolve issues and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of changes and developments in the industry affecting work activities, and participate in outside industry groups and forums related to business activities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of previous experience in a fast-paced production/distribution environment.

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and driving.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with clients, supervisors, and peers.
  • Vision-requires constant mental visual attention to details, as well as the ability to see well in limited light scenarios.
  • Balancing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting.
Work Environment
  • Laboratory environment with potential biohazards present.
  • Works under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.
  • Potential for exposure to agents known to cause zoonotic disease in humans and use of potentially hazardous chemicals as defined by the National Hazard Communication Standards.
