Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Youth Counselor to join our team at St. Joseph Children's Home. As a key member of our residential treatment program, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain a therapeutic milieu, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of clients in care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working closely with the treatment team to achieve client goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients, teaching life skills and promoting independence.
  • Document client progress and provide regular updates to the treatment team.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in crisis management and maintain certification in Safe Crisis Management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in providing care to clients, preferably in a residential treatment setting.
  • Driver's license with insurable driving record required.
  • Certification in Safe Crisis Management.
