Job Summary

The University of Miami is seeking a Per Diem Dietitian to join our team. As a Per Diem Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in promoting good dietary health and treating medical conditions by devising eating plans for patients based on the science of nutrition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Nutrition Plans: Create personalized nutrition plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
  • Provide Education and Support: Plan, develop, and implement nutritional, health, and wellness education for patients, adapting education materials to levels appropriate for patients of the Executive Health practice.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Collaborate with Exercise Physiologists to design and develop nutrition, health, and wellness education programs and/or services targeting current patients.
  • Assess and Evaluate Patient Progress: Perform nutritional, health, and wellness screening and assessment, developing and implementing ongoing nutritional care plans based upon the developmental needs of each patient.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Actively assess, evaluate, and maintain professional development, competency, and licensure as outlined in the position description.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification and Licensing: Certification in a relevant specialty or field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes: Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form, ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure, ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships, and ability to understand and follow instructions.
