This is a skilled position involving plumbing tasks necessary for the maintenance and servicing of various fixtures and equipment. The technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that facilities and utilities are compliant and ready for use, which includes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and maintaining documentation through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to perform a diverse range of tasks aimed at maintaining the facility to enhance guest experience. Engage professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues to support facility initiatives and complete work requests.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify necessary repair and maintenance work, preventing potential breakdowns of facilities and equipment.
  • Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills with guests and team members at all times.
  • Assist in the upkeep, repair, and safety of all guest and employee areas, including outdoor spaces and any off-site locations utilized by the company.
  • Analyze specifications in blueprints or building plans to prepare project layouts and determine required materials.
  • Execute timely repairs on all types of kitchen equipment, ensuring operational safety and efficiency in accordance with health codes.
  • Perform electrical diagnostics on kitchen appliances.
  • Address and resolve motor failures through repairs and replacements.
  • Facilitate the relocation of existing equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain an adequate stock of supplies and materials essential for the repair and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Possess a solid understanding of plumbing standards and codes relevant to kitchen appliances and systems.
  • Keep supervisors informed of any potential issues or unusual occurrences.
  • Assist with requisitions and provide estimates for supplies and materials needed for projects.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Must be present for a reliable work schedule aligned with business needs, ensuring consistent attendance.
  • Embody the cultural values of Soboba Casino and align daily actions with departmental objectives.
  • Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An Associate of Applied Science or Certificate in Appliance Technology from an accredited institution may substitute for two years of experience.
  • Preferred education in building maintenance or experience in a large commercial facility.
  • Five years of experience in construction and appliance repair is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret technical documents, including diagrams and safety regulations.
  • Mathematical proficiency to perform calculations in various units of measure.
  • Any combination of education and experience that meets the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must possess a valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming commission license.
  • Required to undergo drug and alcohol testing with negative results.
