This unique, integrated team explores innovative ideas for optimizing the firm's liquidity position while executing strategies collectively. The team is organized into five distinct pillars, each with its specific focus. Whether your interests lie in scalable big data architecture, liquidity usage optimization algorithms, or direct collaboration with Traders on trade execution and risk management, we have opportunities for you.

Corporate Treasury is central to Goldman Sachs, ensuring that all business units have the necessary funding to operate effectively while optimizing liquidity and managing risk. Being part of the engineering team will provide you with insights into critical operations within the firm. Your Impact:

Our Corporate Treasury Engineering team is a leader in developing quantitative methodologies and technological solutions that address intricate commercial challenges. We collaborate with the firm's treasurer and other senior leaders in Corporate Treasury to manage liquidity risk, oversee secured and unsecured funding programs, and determine the composition of consolidated and subsidiary equity capital while investing any surplus liquidity. In this role, you will gain unique insights into the firm's business activities and asset strategies. You will be responsible for defining and developing software to analyze data, create metric calculators, and automate tools that provide business insights, predict scenarios, and facilitate better decision-making to reduce interest expenses.

How You Will Achieve Your Potential:

  • Utilize engineering to identify and assess risk while implementing quantitative and technical risk management solutions in software.
  • Build strong relationships with key business partners, gaining an understanding of financial markets and liquidity management strategies to enhance our treasury systems and processes.
  • Apply analytics to drive commercial outcomes and communicate with clarity and precision.
  • Understand business requirements, facilitate process workflows, and define data specifications necessary for implementation.
  • Develop scalable architectures and implement software following the complete software development lifecycle.
  • Explore the latest technology offerings and platforms to strategize and create optimal technology solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the business to create real-time impacts and deliver products with significant commercial value.

Skills and Experience Required:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in software development, with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design, and core programming concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to learn new technologies and apply them effectively.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks, engaging with various stakeholders, and working collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience addressing both technical and business audiences on a global scale.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and passion for problem-solving and product development.
  • 6+ years of relevant, continuous experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient programming experience in at least one compiled language (e.g., C, C++, Java).
  • Experience in designing highly scalable and efficient systems.
  • Familiarity with web technology design is a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, financial assets, and liquidity management is advantageous.
