Position Summary:
The role involves preparing export/import licenses and agreements in compliance with federal regulations to facilitate international business activities, including foreign employment, overseas manufacturing, and partnerships with international entities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Interpreting governmental feedback and advising stakeholders
- Building and maintaining relationships with government licensing authorities to ensure clarity on licensing and technology matters
- Evaluating business initiatives against regulatory standards and advising management on compliant practices
- Conducting training for employees and assisting in the development of compliance policies and procedures
- Performing audits of internal controls to ensure adherence to regulations
- Supporting external audits and inquiries from U.S. government agencies through data collection and corrective actions
- Guiding product development decisions through jurisdictional analysis to align with business strategies
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert with extensive knowledge in the field and project management
- Oversee significant project initiatives with minimal supervision
- Communicate effectively within and outside the organization to advocate for changes in practices and processes
- Drive improvements in systems, processes, or products
- Provide insights into new products and implement operational plans that positively impact business outcomes
- Guide and mentor other employees within the area of expertise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic project initiatives
- Engage with leadership on matters critical to the business area
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Eligibility for a Secret Security Clearance
- Advanced knowledge typically acquired through higher education and relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience
- Familiarity with U.S. import/export regulations, including EAR and ITAR
- Experience with DECCS, SNAP-R, and ACE systems
Preferred Skills:
- Active Security Clearance
- Knowledge of FMS Trade Regulations
- Experience with Consent Agreements
- Understanding of Trade Tariffs and Commodity Classifications
Security Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all company security and data protection policies
- Ensure proper handling of sensitive information
- Maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary information
