Job Summary:

The HIV Services Coordinator will play a critical role in developing and implementing HIV services for the patient population and community served by UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. This position will be responsible for data collection and analysis, project management, policies and procedures development, and operations planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HIV diagnosis and programmatic components, excellent computer skills, and the ability to write and submit comprehensive grant applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Collection and Analysis: The HIV Services Coordinator will be responsible for producing accurate reports, collecting data from various sources, and inputting it into standard formats. This will include tracking units of service, data entry, budget recommendations, and working with the Contracts and Grants office.
  • Project Management: The HIV Services Coordinator will support project management activities, including coordinating HIV/STD/HCV testing at multiple sites within the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland network. This will also involve acting as a resource for testing/PrEP navigators in hospital-based clinics and community sites.
  • Policies and Procedures Development: The HIV Services Coordinator will support stakeholder engagement by arranging meetings, events, and other stakeholder engagement activities. This will also involve identifying processes and creating policies and procedures for communicating positive and negative results to clients and coordinating linkage to care for HIV treatment or HIV prevention services.
  • Operations Planning: The HIV Services Coordinator will contribute to the development of annual plans, contribute to developing business cases for key activities/projects, and estimate the financial and human resources required to deliver performance targets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a health or social services field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical/administrative experience in social service, health-related organization, or medical office/clinic.
  • Previous HIV knowledge.
  • CA State Certified HIV/HCV Test Counselor preferred.

  • Reach: Up to 3 hours
  • Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hrs
  • Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs, over 25 lbs with assistance or equipment.
