As a Patient Care Technician with Sentara Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families. This is a full-time, night shift position at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Surgery Unit - 8RP.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care and support under the direct supervision of a professional nurse.
- Assist with admissions and discharge processes.
- Monitor patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any changes to the nursing team.
- Support the implementation of delegated aspects of nursing care.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Completion of a Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT), or US Navy Hospital Corps School.
- American Health Associate BLS Certification within 90 days of hire.
- One year of prior healthcare experience.
