Job Title: Research Associate in Pharmacology

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to join our team in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of a mass spectrometry facility, preparing and analyzing small molecules, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct day-to-day management of the facility, including preparing and analyzing small molecules for internal and external investigators.
  • Maintain equipment and develop liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry methods.
  • Analyze "omics" datasets and contribute to manuscript preparation and proposal writing.
Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in a relevant discipline, such as cancer biology, biochemistry, or analytical chemistry.
  • Strong skillsets in LC/MS approaches and experience with R, Python, and/or relevant bioinformatic tools.
  • Ability to contribute to manuscript preparation and proposal writing.
