Position Overview:

The Vice Provost of Institutional Research and Analysis is tasked with overseeing and directing the research initiatives within the University, focusing on the educational, administrative, and support services that inform strategic decision-making.

Required Qualifications:

A Master's degree in research methodologies or a related discipline within the social sciences, measurement, or quantitative analysis is essential. Candidates should possess a minimum of ten years of experience in higher education, demonstrating expertise in strategic planning, program evaluation, outcomes assessment, and institutional research.

Key Responsibilities:

This role reports directly to the Provost and is pivotal in enhancing the University's mission through effective data utilization and informed decision-making processes. The Vice Provost will play a crucial role in the University's ongoing success by fostering continuous improvement and evaluating the outcomes of strategic priorities. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating institutional research and analysis, survey initiatives, university assessments, compliance reporting, and data governance.
  • Leading a dedicated team of research and data professionals to manage a diverse array of projects with varying deadlines and priorities.
  • Collaborating across departments to identify and prioritize research and assessment needs that support enrollment strategies, faculty workload analysis, instructional costs, benchmarking, and program evaluations.
  • Utilizing data to deliver insights and recommendations that enhance university operations, planning, and quality improvement efforts.

This position is essential for strengthening learning outcomes and experiences for a diverse student population.
