We're seeking a skilled Prior Authorization Specialist to elevate our customer service and patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate new prior authorization requests to providers
  • Identify and obtain the correct prior authorization form for patient insurance providers
  • Coordinate with prescribers and medical offices to ensure accurate information on prior authorization forms
  • Follow up with medical offices on prior authorization request status
  • Communicate prior authorization status to patients and providers
  • Coordinate with medical offices on appeals
  • Respond to internal questions on prior authorization requests

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Customer service or inbound call center experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound technical skills, analytical ability, attention to detail, good judgment, and strong operational focus
  • A passion for delivering exceptional patient care
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work rotational shifts between 8am-8pm

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year(s) experience with prior authorizations or insurance verification in a pharmacy
  • Knowledge of pharmacy benefits and claims
