Job Details:

  • Qualifications:
    • A completed Medical Assistant program or 3+ years of documented experience with completion of the CH Medical Assistant Assessment
    • BCLS training and current certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • Proficiency in care tasks like phlebotomy and aseptic technique
  • Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Preps exam rooms with disinfection, stocking, and checking vaccinations and medications for the day
    • Preps patient charts with pre-visit planning by reviewing schedules and identifying gaps in care
    • Escorts patients to exam rooms, directing flow for maximum efficiency
    • Collects and documents patient information, vital signs, height/weight, allergies, active medication list, chief complaint, pain screen, and current symptoms
    • Obtains additional data from patients/significant others, EKG/lab/diagnostic test results, and historical data
    • Reports findings to providers, recognizing abnormal findings or changes in condition
    • Confirms and clarifies written orders prior to implementation of delegated tasks
    • Collects, prepares, and processes laboratory specimens for on-site and remote-site testing, tracks, and enters results in medical records
    • Assists with front office duties: greeting patients, answering phones, and verifying insurances
    • Other duties assigned
  • Estimated Salary Range: USD $22.87 - USD $29.13 per hour

This salary range serves as a good faith estimate, influenced by factors such as qualifications, skills, competencies, and position location. It does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation.
